Chapter 4 Layout Contribution Component Reference
Layout Contribution Property
You can add the Layout Contribution Property component to layout files to insert the value
of specific asset properties into contribution documents, or to insert the entire content of
an HTML asset into a layout file. When a contribution document that uses a layout file that
includes the Layout Contribution Property component is previewed, edited, or deployed,
Collage replaces the component with the property value.
For example, if you add a Layout Contribution Property component to a layout file that will
display a contribution document's filename, the filename will appear in place of the
component when the file is previewed, edited, or deployed.
How the Layout Contribution Property
Component Works
The Layout Contribution Property Component uses the following syntax:

The
property
field defines the name of the field to display. The
format
field can be used
to add any special formatting, for example for date fields.
For example, to insert the value of the
CreateDate
property and apply a date format, use
the following syntax:
<nexus:field property="CreateDate" format="yyyy.MMMM.dd GGG hh:mm
aaa"/>
This field will display a date in the following format:
2001.May.10 AD 12:08 PM

Property Values
You can define the
property
field as any of the following values:
Property Description
FileName
Displays the actual name of the file.
name
Displays the asset name.
assetid
Displays the asset's ID number.
Description
Displays the asset's description.
MimeType
Displays the asset's MIME-type.
Size
Displays the asset's filesize.
CreateDate
Displays the date that the asset was created.
assettype
Displays the asset's assettype.
