Chapter 3 Design-Time Component Reference
The previous page in the query results
The first and last pages in the query results
The Query Navigator component allows you to assign unique images and text to each
button in the navigation bar. For example, you might create buttons with the text "Next,"
"Previous," and "Top."
How the Query Navigator Component Works
To generate the links, you must place the component on each of the details pages that the
AssetQuery links to. The AssetQuery component must include a
layout
property, which
defines the detail pages which contain the Query Navigator component.
The simplest way to place the component on each page may be to include it on a master
page, and apply the master page to each of the pages.
Based on the order in which pages are listed by the AssetQuery component, the Query
Navigator component generates the correct links on each page. For example, if the
AssetQuery component returns the following three files in alphabetical order:
productdetail_a.html
productdetail_b.html
productdetail_c.html
The Query Navigator component will generate the Next and Previous links based on this.
In this case, for example, the Previous link on productdetail_b.html would point to
productdetail_a.html, and the Next link would point to productdetail_c.html.
About the Query Navigator Buttons
Button Types
You can define either of the following button types for each Query Navigator component:
For each Query Navigator component, all of the buttons must be defined as either text or
image; you cannot mix text and image buttons in a component.
Button type Description
Image Image buttons use image files, such as .gif or .jpg files. You can also
define unique text for each button, which Collage will flatten onto the
image when the page containing the component is deployed or
previewed.
Text Text buttons use standard HTML text formatting.
