5: Set Up and Start Deployment
You must set up deployment as you would for any other deployment activity.
To set up deployment:

Define the destination deployment server in Collage.
If you want to run commands on the deploy server, establish the connection to the
Deploy Agent on the server as part of the server definition. For detailed instructions,
see the Serena Collage Project Manager's Guide.

Define the deployment locations.

Create a deploy map to deploy all of the folders that are required for WAR file
deployment to the destination server. This includes the /Code, /Content,
/Configuration, and /WarContents folders.
If you want to run a post-deployment command on the destination server, define this
command as part of the deploy map. For detailed instructions, see the Serena Collage
Project Manager's Guide.
You can optionally use the Deploy Agent to restart the target web server after deployment
is complete.
To restart the target web server:

Install the Deploy Agent to the target server. For details on installing the Deploy
Agent, see the Serena Collage Installation and Setup Guide.

Make a script available on the target server that can restart the web server.

When you define a deploy map for the WAR file deployment, define a post-deployment
command to run the script.
Absolute path of JDK
installed
Location of the JDK installation. This requires that
the JDK be installed on the Collage server.
Classpath for compiling JSP
files
Classpath for the JSP compiler. This requires that
the application server's JSP compiler class files/JAR
files are installed to the Collage Server.
IMPORTANT!
These classpaths cannot contain
spaces, and the total length for this field cannot
exceed 254 characters. If the classpaths contain
spaces or exceed the length limit, copy the JSP
compiler files to locations with shorter paths, or
which do not contain spaces.
Absolute path of the web
server
Absolute path to the local Tomcat server. By
default, this is
c:/Program Files/Serena/
Collage/Tomcat
. If Collage is installed to a
nondefault location, update this field.
